1996 - First International PSP Medical Workshop
This workshop took place shortly after the establishment of The PSP Association. Its purpose was to ‘brainstorm' PSP with a view to identifying a strategic direction for the charity's research going forward.

The workshop pointed to research into the genetic aspects of PSP and led to The PSP Association sponsoring Dr Huw Morris and his work on genetic susceptibility and PSP as its first Research Fellow.
1999 - Second International PSP Medical Workshop
Held in the State Rooms of Stowe School in Buckinghamshire, the 1999 Workshop was attended by more than 70 of the world's leading neurologists and addressed research and clinical aspects of PSP, CBD and Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).
2001 - Third International PSP Workshop
This two day workshop, held jointly with the Alzheimer's Society at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire, focused on tau protein and its role in both PSP and Alzheimer's disease.
2003 - Fourth International PSP Workshop
Leading neurologists from across the world attended the 2003 Workshop which focused on ‘Earlier and better diagnosis of PSP'.

2005 - Fifth International PSP Medical Workshop
Attended by leading clinicians and scientists from around the world, the workshop was held at the National Hospital for Neurology for Neurology, London. The theme for the Workshop was ‘PSP as a test-bed for neurodegenerative disease modifying treatments. Professor Andrew Lees, Director of the Sara Koe PSP Research Centre and the Reta Lila Weston Foundation at the Institute of Neurology was in the Chair.
2007 - Sixth International PSP Medical Workshop
Again held at the Institute of Neurology in London, the workshop focused on ‘Clinical Drug Trials in PSP'. Abstracts from the meeting were published in the Journal Movement Disorders.
