Since its inception in 1994 The PSP Association has supported a wide range of research aimed at advancing our knowledge of PSP, its causes, possible prevention, earlier and better diagnosis, development of an effective treatment and ultimately, to find a cure.
Medical research may involve the use of animals, human tissue and, as has been the case more recently, stem cells derived from human embryonic tissue, each of which brings with it ethical issues. The PSP Association's position on each of these topics is given below.
