Join us for this urban trek around London with the opportunity to visit the venues that will be hosting the Olympic Events.
This is a tough one day event; at approx 26 miles it forms a substantial challenge for walkers.
Itinerary:
Our day starts at Olympic Park in Stratford, East London, home to the new Olympic Stadium and Olympic Village where the athletes will stay. Then heading west you will shoot through Regents Park to Lords Cricket Ground, which will be hosting the Archery.
Turning southwards you will now transition into Hyde Park which will host the Triathlon, passing the Serpentine where the Marathon Swimming will take place, and then continue up to Buckingham Palace. Wewill then head up The Mall before bouncing into the Horse Guards Parade Ground, home to the Beach Volleyball competition.
Continuing the trek along the north side of the Thames, we take in some iconic London landmarks, passing the Tower of London, the Tate Modern, The Shard and The London Eye, as you finally gallop eastwards towards Greenwich Park, which will host the equestrian events and also the modern pentathlon during the Games.
Heading north from Greenwich Park, you will triumphantly cross the finish line at the North Greenwich Arena and take your place in Olympic History!
