Choose My Support is a new way of finding care and support services in the county and city. Provided by Leicestershire County Council jointly with Leicester City Council, it is an on-line market place for care and support services and products for citizens of Leicester and Leicestershire. Carers within Blaby District can apply for a Carers Support Grant, to help arrange support such as short breaks, sitting services, befriending, help around the home, training related to the caring role, gym membership, driving lessons, home appliances or assistive technology. To qualify your must be over 18 and provide substantial care on a regular basis. Grants will be awarded between £100 and £250 dependant of assessed need.
